well, summer's over in 5 days (for me) so that means so's the end of the summer blog series. thanks to anyone who listened to my rantings, but i have 2 go to school. man, summer went by quick... but, idid do alot... a lot that i don't feel like mentioning cause i'm tired and wanna put this blog behind me. so, thanks to all my loyal followers, but i'm drawing this blog to a close.

My Camera's Broken? Oh No!

ok, so my camera's not really broken. i didn't drop it off a 13 story building. i didn't pass it to a little kid in a game of basketball. i didn't... you get my drift. it'll still record video, but the thing is, i can't, because i have no power cord to charge the batteries. so that means i can't charge the dead batteries which means... no new videos for a couple months or so while i save up allowance to buy this little devil.

it has just occured to me that i haven't typed up a blog recently... so, i'm 5-multi-tasking... trying to watch the insomniac ironman with sxephil, davedays, charlestrippy, etc., chatting with 2 friends, listening 2 music, and typing up a blog. sad thing is, i've got something to talk about.

i guess the only thing i have to mention is mark. i wasn't gonna talk about him because, i mean, sure it's so sad that a member of our church family had to go and everything, and i mean, i bet he'd like for me to talk about him, but aside from the time i played centerfield next to him in softball, i really, never got to know him. we never actually talked, and i guess, whatever god chose to happen that night happened, and i'm not gonna argue with him over it. he chose to take him, and that's that. nothing i can really do to change it. i mean, i'm still sad and all, but... dont you think god's got a better sense of what's going on then we do?

ok, so everyone knows that i'm grounded and have limeted internet access on the weekends, right? well, i've been getting used to that, but one fateful windy day, a tree or a branch or something mustv'e knocked the power line to our house out of whack, and i had 3 weeks of no (limited) internet access.

3 weeks of no email.

3 weeks of no myspace.

3 weeks of no youtube.

3 videos i have to make up for.

but on the brighter side, i went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last week, and lotsa stuff happened.
1. i pet a baby black bear.
2. i went to mackinac island
3. i went kayaking
4. i went in lake michigan, huron, and superior
5. we stayed in cottages

You know, i'm figuring out a lot lately. like howI just figured out how stupid myspace is.

we spend so much time making sure our myspaces look absolutely perfect, that we don't have time to look at others' myspaces.

we just edit our own and edit and edit and no one ever really looks at them, because they're too busy editing their own, and the same thing occurs.

Person A tries to impress Person B by editing his myspace, but Person B never sees A's myspace because B spends too much time editing his own, to impress person C, who spends too much time editing his own to impress A, but never sees As or Bs myspace.

circulatory reasoning at it's finest, eh?

I think i'm gonna go play outside, or eat some tunafish, or watch some TV, or do something that matters.

P.S. and no, this isn't a letter of resignation, or saying that i'ma leave goosemanrocks.com or myspace or youtube or anything, it's just trying to prove a point at how we should only spend, like, a few hours a week doing this stuff.

well, the whole weeklyblog thing was kinda givin me some stress, so it's gone. i'ma blog when i feel like it.

i spent last week in kentucky.

in this town called grayson, kentucky, right? ok, so we stop at a taco bell and i go up to the lady...

Employee: May i help you?
Me: Hey, can i get a discount 'cause my name's grayson?
Employee: (to manager) you can deal with this guy...
Manager: May i help you?
Me: Hey, my name's grayson, can i get a discount?
Manager: uhhhh, NO.

Me: whatever.
can i just get a smoothie?

I was trying not to eat much that day, 'cause i had just used up my food money to buy fireworks--i mean, uh, snacks*-- at the dollar store. later, i see one of these things up near the register where you donate money to orphans and get to play a little game. the rules of the game were that you had to slide a coin into the slot at the top, and twirl around the little spinners leading down to one at the bottom, where if you could land one, you're a won a free taco. but the thing was, the spinner at the bottom moved along with the rest of the spinners. so you could spin it. in the pool of change leading up to it at the bottom. so i get a couple coins, and quickly learn how to cheat and spin the thing really fast and get some coins to fly up onto the 'winner' spinner thing and... i won a free taco. and it was good. but, in short, i cheated an orphan out of a taco.

I stole a taco from an orphan.

and it tasted twice as sweet.
